Family Traditions and Family Visioning

A friend of mine has a grandson who recently had this converstion with his mom,

"Mom, I just saw Abwaham Blinken."
 "Really!  Where?"
"Right here on this brown money!"

Kids grow up so fast.  The world changes even faster.  What will your family be like in five years?  Ten years?  Do you have a vision for your family's future?  Do you have an idea of the values and the principles that are your family's foundation?
Stephen Covey  writes extensively about the importance of this process and the necessity of a family being proactive and beginning with the end in mind.  He has inspired me to design a family class around these very issues.

I will be exploring this with some very special families at Kennesaw United Methodist Church for the next two Sundays.  We will be writing a family mission statement and creating a vision collage of where these families plan to be in years to come.  Join us. Be proactive!

If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.  David Campbell
