Wyatt Visits Sixes Fall Festival. Were You There?

Lots of schools have fall festivals and the one I work at is no exception.  Last night was the Fall Festival for Sixes Elementary and there was something for everyone there.  There were decorated pumpkins to bid on.  Here's one of my favorites:

When I was a kid, my favorite thing at the school festival was the cake walk...

Unfortunately, I've never won even a tiny cupcake at a cake walk.  NEVER.  My daughter Hayley however used to win so often at her school that I would beg her to quit.  Sometimes we went home with three or four cakes.  I guess she was making up for my unlucky streak.

The fun part of the festival for me was participating in the Sixes Market where Wyatt and I got to meet lots of new people. Here's Joyce Willis who made some amazing Wyatt cookies for our book launch tomorrow.

We also met Shannen Yauger who sells adorable rompers and hair accessories for little children.  Here's an example of her wares:

Her items were adorable and it made me wish my girls were toddlers again just so I could shop with her.

The best part of the night though was that Wyatt and I got to talk with lots of parents, teachers and children about his adventures!  Even the babies love Wyatt.  Here's three month old Ryan Bobo who is fascinated by Wyatt books:

What a great evening we had!!  Thank you Sixes PTA for inviting us and putting on such a great event.

The Bonus I've Been Promising at the Book Launch for Wyatt

In last week's post I hinted at the bonus I've prepared for anyone purchasing a Wyatt the Wonder Dog book on September 30th.  It's a book launch for my newest Wyatt book;  Wyatt the Wonder Dog Goes to Kindergarten.  I've invited a few friends and family to my house for the book launch which is also a benefit for MUST ministries.  I'm really excited about the party and have several special surprises for my guests as well.  I'll include pictures and details in next week's blog.

Since it's a book launch and my birthday (!) I wanted to give everyone a gift who purchases a Wyatt book on September 30th.  I didn't want to announce the gift too soon, just in case it didn't pan out but I spent yesterday with Chris Owensby, choir director at my church and we created an audio recording of each of the Wyatt books which I will include with each book purchased.  This is a great addition to the Wyatt books and now younger children can listen to the story while looking at the book!  Although the books are available online at Amazon and Barnes and Noble as well at these local bookstores, Yawn's Books and More and Acworth Bookstore, the audio recording will ONLY be available when you purchase the book through my website: Wyatt the Wonder Dog.

It's a Book Launch for Wyatt's Newest Book! You're Invited!

September is back to school month for lots of students but Wyatt is just starting kindergarten and he's a little worried... What will school be like?  What will he do all day?  Will he make friends?  The list goes on and on.  If you know a little one beginning school for the first time this year, you're going to love sharing with them how Wyatt's first day in kindergarten goes.  Wyatt learns a valuable lesson about trying new things!

September is also a special month for me because it's my birthday month, so Wyatt and I have decided to combine my birthday with a book launch for his newest book!  We've also partnered up with one of our favorite ministries: MUST ministries which helps those who are homeless have hope by providing shelter, food, job counseling and much more.  On my birthday, September 30th all the Wyatt books on Wyatt's website, will be discounted AND I will donate part of the proceeds to MUST!  In addition, there will be a special surprise that will accompany all of the books ordered on that day.  I'm working on it this week and as soon as I get it finished... I'll tell you what it is!   It will be a great addition to each book.

Here's what you can expect on September 30th for my birthday book launch:

• It's a party!!! I'll be hosting a book launch party for friends and family at my house!
• All my books will be available for $10 each both at the party and on my website:   Wyatt's website
• All the Wyatt books purchased either at the party or on the website will include a special additional treat... this is the surprise that is coming later!
• At the party I'll have a special gift for each attendee---they are adorable AND delicious and you won't want to miss this!
• Donations will be accepted at the book launch party for MUST ministries and I will be donating a portion of the proceeds to MUST Ministries as well.
